Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-12

These Terms are the agreement between you and Salman Alzamil, the individual developer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, who makes Diala ("we"). You accept them at sign-in, by ticking the agreement box and continuing. Apple's standard licence terms for App Store apps also apply. Apple is not responsible for Diala or its support.

What Diala is

Diala is an AI assistant for everyday tasks. You can chat with it by text, or talk to it in a voice call inside the app. Diala is an AI, not a person, and it says so if asked. It can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, so check anything important. Diala does not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. It is a productivity tool, not a companion or a mental health service. For health and fitness questions, including the Apple Health data you ask about, Diala gives general wellness information, not medical advice or a diagnosis. Talk to a doctor about symptoms and before making medical decisions.

Not for emergencies

Diala can't call for help, and no one watches conversations in real time. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number now. In Saudi Arabia, call 911, or 937 for health advice. If you talk about harming yourself, Diala won't give harmful information and will point you to help.

Who can use Diala

If you're under 18, use Diala with a parent's or guardian's permission. Diala is not made for young children, and AI chat apps may not be suitable for some minors. Each account is for one person. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Tasks on the web

Diala can search the web and visit public websites for you in a cloud browser. It does this signed out, identifies itself as an automated agent, follows the rules sites publish for automated visitors, avoids sites whose terms ban automated agents, and never solves CAPTCHAs. A task stops after at most 10 minutes. You can stop any task at any time.

Diala never pays, books, buys or signs in for you, and never asks for your card details or passwords. When a step needs you, Diala stops and offers "Continue on" the site. The site then opens in the app, and you finish there yourself, under that site's terms. Any purchase or booking is a contract between you and the seller.

Diala doesn't make phone calls to people or businesses yet. In Diala, a call means talking with Diala.

Your decisions

You decide what to do with Diala's answers and results. You are responsible for the actions you choose to take, including anything you finish on a website. Check names, dates, prices and other details before you rely on them.

Plans, free trial and renewal

Apart from the starter below, Diala's features need an active plan or its free trial. Plans are auto-renewing subscriptions sold through Apple's in-app purchase. Before you buy, the app shows each plan's name, length, what it includes and its price.

Diala never takes payments for goods or services you buy elsewhere.

Acceptable use

Don't use Diala to:

Diala may refuse requests that look unlawful or harmful.

Your content

What you type and say stays yours. You let us process it only to run Diala for you, as our Privacy Policy explains. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. We look at your conversations to improve Diala only if you allow "Help improve Diala". It is optional and Diala works the same either way. We ask once, in a popup, and you can change your choice in Settings › Privacy.

Connected apps

Apps you connect in Settings › Connections, such as Gmail, Notion or Todoist, are services of other companies, under their own terms and plan limits. Diala uses them only when you ask, and asks before adding, changing or sending anything. You can disconnect them at any time.

Service changes

Diala is new. Features may change, break or pause. Where we can, we will tell you in the app before we remove a feature you pay for.

Our liability

If we fail to provide the service, or provide it late, we will first try to fix the problem. If we can't, we will give you free access for the affected period, and you can ask Apple for a refund. For any failure or delay in providing the service, our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid for Diala in the 12 months before the claim, or SAR 500. This limit does not apply to fraud, gross negligence or harmful acts, including personal injury and unlawful processing of your personal data. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Diala at any time. Diala needs to send your voice and messages to our AI providers to work, so there is no setting to turn that off. To stop it for good, delete your account in Settings › Delete account, which removes your data as the Privacy Policy explains. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel it in iPhone Settings too. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, misuse Diala, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent courts in Saudi Arabia hear any dispute. If you live in another country, you keep any protection your local law gives you. These Terms are in Arabic and English. For users in Saudi Arabia, the Arabic version governs.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will show the new date at the top and tell you in the app before an important change takes effect. If you keep using Diala after that, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel your plan and delete your account.
